SONO TORNATO OGGI CON UN VOLO TRANQUILLO tranquillo da Ontario (CA) dove ho avuto l’onore di assistere al Portable Media Expo this weekend. Non so perche’ non ho proprio sentito il desiderio di scrivere qualcosa durante i due turbinanti giorni negli States. D’altronde sono un giornalista e non un blogger, poi era probabilmente troppo tempo che non rimettevo piede laddove la vita migliora grazie all’ingegno degli uomini e non dei politici e forse anche perche’ quello a cui ho assistito e’ stato troppo coinvolgente per fermarmi un secondo a pensare e non provare a “avere anche quel bigliettino da visita di quel famoso podcaster …”

Fatto sta che oggi a Lodra, in attesa del mio Ryan che mi riportasse a MI, ho ricominciato a mettere il cervello in running dallo stand by che mi ha freezato per due lunghe veglie due lunghe notti (si e no avro’ dormito 4 ore in tutto, aereo a parte). Mi sono accorto che ad un tratto al posto di assorbire ancora, la spugna che e’ il cervello ha cominciato a rilasciare ricordi, emozioni, rimorsi e un sacco di voglia di raccontare tutto quello che e’ successo. Di fatto sono stato nella mecca del podcasting e e’ stato intellettualmente eccitante! Ora dato che “fortunatamente” questa settimana mi attendono due impegni importanti e che richiedono tutta la mia attenzione:

A recommendation engine could take this data about my listening habits (presuming that if I listened to a podcast in full, I must have liked it and that if I only listened to the first few minutes, I didn’t find it very compelling) and recommend new podcasts. And obviously the service could use that data to find people who are similar to me and create a social recommendation system for podcasts. The point is: the ability to monitor podcast usage is not only beneficial to advertisers, but to the user and the content creator too […]
