WHAT’S UP IN PARIS THIS MORNING? first = NO CONNECTION TILL NOW! AWFU Louic please kick-off Orange and try something else. Anyway … some disordered notes in this exciting morning full of people! But event is live thks to vpod.tv :)

Niklas Zennström (Skype)
Difference with 1.0 bubble was that today we have the partecipative software and no dial-up connection. How do you see the media evolving? Journalism is changing, the big challenge is that you have today free newspapers (blogs). Skype is going to launch a TV platform? It seems that something “bolle in pentola”. Couch potato are not disappearing …

Lorraine Twohill (Google)
Internet Cafè and Africa access to the Net are the next hallenges. My favourite sw: “Piczo” = appeal to female girls, safety things from the beginning with tips on life, more friends = more story. How companies are capitalizing on these user trends? ’cause Internet is the new creative playground and the power is of communities: look @ NSPCC. Some trends:
(1) ubiquitous access (24/7 generation), (2) communication & collaboration (audience and participation is the next

And remember: Anyone can be world-famous for the next 15MB (Lasse Gjertsen - Human BeatBox)

Hans Rosling (highly appreciated)
World is evolving (especially what we consider the “third world” in the last 20 years and they have gotten economic growth only recently but socially they changed dramatically! Now almost all growing countries doesen’t have large families and lenght of life very long. = basic life conditions has improved across the world. world population is today 6.1bn people and 24% earn a lot (richness is full concentrated). The point to improve is to sell country products to Europe and USA without taxes Don’t disseminate data to public but let them to access!

What I understood from today inputs, is that you can’t fight to be an elite, U must fight to be part of the modern elite of modern participative changing communities! AND REMEMBER: other are always coming, so don’t fight for position but PARTICIPATE AND LEARN
